Her Journey to Cattle Dog, Passions and Views on Culture

We had the opportunity to interview Kenzie Lee, the Marketing Manager at Cattle Dog Digital. In this post we dive into Kenzie’s journey in joining the team, her passions, and views on Cattle Dog’s culture.

 

Joining Cattle Dog Digital   

Kenzie joined the Cattle Dog Digital team after working at a marketing agency based in the San Francisco area. Kenzie and Sarah Harkness, Cattle Dog Digital’s Co-founder and Director of RevOps, met when working together on Hubspot and Salesforce projects at the agency. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Kenzie and Sarah reconnected and Cattle Dog Digital brought Kenzie on the team. Kenzie was excited to work with Sarah again and to be a part of an international team. Kenzie has now been a part of the Cattle Dog Digital pack for 1.5 years. 



Loving The Vibe

Kenzie is the Marketing Manager at Cattle Dog Digital. In her role, she builds and executes the marketing strategy which includes marketing programs, webinars, podcasts, events, social media, content creation, blogs, events, email marketing, etc. Kenzie works closely with Sarah to expand Cattle Dog Digital’s brand awareness in the market. Kenzie enjoys building up the company culture at Cattle Dog Digital and being a part of “the vibe” that is unique to the Cattle Dog Digital values.

Marketing and Mission Focused 

Kenzie loves everything about marketing! Specifically, she loves seeing the marketing strategy come together. “Seeing all of the marketing tactics work to achieve our marketing goals is so exciting for me to see. I love it when everything just sings,” Kenzie shared. She gets so amped when the brand comes to life and gains recognition in the market. Kenzie is passionate about businesses that have a strong mission and vision, “It’s the most important thing to me,” she explains. “When a company truly believes in and delivers on their mission and values, it makes it so much more fun to work because it feels like you are achieving something greater together as a team.” Kenzie enjoys working with the team to achieve company goals and really connects to Cattle Dog Digital’s V3MoM.

 

Running Free with Culture and Trust 

Two things that Kenzie pointed out that made Cattle Dog Digital different from other places that she has worked was culture and trust. Kenzie loves how Cattle Dog Digital keeps culture at the centre of everything. The family values, care, trust, respect and dog puns at the core of Cattle Dog Digital’s culture are some unique aspects that make working at Cattle Dog Digital a great experience for Kenzie. Another difference that Kenzie highlighted was trust. The leadership team trusts everyone to do their jobs independently. There is no micromanaging at Cattle Dog Digital, which really allows for more growth. “There’s no box here at Cattle Dog. No one is stuck in a kennel, we are all free to run and do our best work,” Kenzie explained.

 

Favourite Dog: French Bulldogs

Kenzie loves French Bulldogs! She thinks they are hilarious, adorable ‘little gremlins.’ She loves how smiley they are, even though they struggle to breathe when they run 5 meters.
